The Trenze climbing site is being completely overhauled, all of the bolts are being taken out. Instead climbers will need to trad climb, as per the good old days! In full co-operation with the Mayor of Vialas and the Cévennes National Park, the natural feel of the site will be preserved.
Trenze is a granite site, which is perfect for trad climbing. It is right in the heart of the Cévennes National Park. The site is in the valley of the river Gourdouze, beautiful and wild above the old Chesnut groves. Peregine Falcons nest in the cliffs, the National Park has deemed that there will be times when certain sections of the cliff will be closed, notably February to June.
